Subtraction Using Column Method - With Reasoning Activities

This resource has been differentiated fours ways (Tasks grouped by colours). The children have to use the column method for subtraction calculations and then complete a reasoning problem.

Gray band – Use base ten to subtract three number (SEN).
Yellow band – Subtract a two-digit number from a two-digit number (Exchange in the Us).
Orange band – Subtract a two-digit number from a three digit number (Exchange into Hs & Ts)
Green band – Subtract a three-digit number from a three-digit number (Exchange into Ths, Hs, Ts & Us)

Each group has 8 questions followed by a reasoning task.
