SUMMER Alphabet Mystery Puzzles | Digital Letter and Beginning Sounds Matching

Keep the play in your play-based classrooms with these DIGITAL SUMMER MYSTERY PUZZLES that practice alphabet recognition, including beginning sounds. Match the uppercase or lowercase letters to reveal a mystery picture – great for centres or independent review. Students will love these activities so much that they won’t even realize that they’re learning.

HOW TO PLAY:
Download the file that you need (PowerPoint™ or Google Slides™, English or French versions)

Choose which slides to assign by deleting the ones you don’t need. Make a copy of the file for each student that will use it. Play in EDIT mode so that the objects can be manipulated. If you are in PRESENTATION mode, you will only be able to view the slides.

Students must drag & drop the pieces to match either uppercase-to-uppercase letters, lowercase-to-lowercase letters, upper-to-lowercase letters, or uppercase letters to beginning sound pictures. If done correctly, the pieces will reveal a mystery picture!

*TIP: Teach your students how to UNDO actions in interactive digital activities (especially important if they delete the moveable objects!)
