Ingredients
200g plain flour
60g icing sugar
pinch of salt
120g butter
Little cold water
1 egg
2/3 eating apples
Sugar
Cinnamon (ground)
- Put flour, sifted icing sugar and salt into a mixing bowl or food processor. 2. Add butter and a little water and make into a firm dough
- Cut away 1/3 and put aside
- Roll out the remaining dough and cover baking tin/dish (7 inch)
- Add sliced apple, followed by sugar and cinnamon
- Cut strips or use a lattice cutting tool to make a lattice pattern over the top of the pie
- Bake at 170 C fan oven/190 C no fan/gas mark 4 for around 20/25 mins until golden
