A series of lessons aimed at Year 7 developing hand sewing skills with an introduction to printmaking. The project takes inspiration from Mark Hearld and gives oppurtunities to discuss different birds and the things that they symbolise.
I have developed this series of lessons with the plan that it will run over four lessons;
- Lesson 1 - introduction to the project and print making. Make a paper printed bird using acrylic paint.
- Lesson 2 - Print the fabric using odds and ends and fabric paints.
- Lesson 3 - Start assembly - simple blanket stitch
- Lesson 4 - Finish assembly
