The Art of Baking Cookies-A inquiry into kinetic/thermal energy activity

This 3 day inquiry activity incorporates activities that explore the affect heat has on the movement of molecules. Students will first explore the affect of heat on molecules of cookies, making judgments based on experiences and discovery. In the second task students will observe or conduct a diffusion lab to show movement of heat in water. The final activity has students analyzing the movement of molecules in a PhET simulation.
