It’s baaaaaaaaacck! For the TWELFTH year! 60 questions based on the world’s happenings over the last year of January to December 2022. Covers News, Media, Celebs, Music, Food, Politics and general what’s been happening. I’ve tried to keep it light and not too much heavy drama as we deserve a bit of fun after the year we’ve all just had!

And, oh, what a year! Vegan nuggets, animal heart transplants, special onions, videogame company buyout, Disney movie reaches one, Winter Olympics, Downing Street under investigation, $1 million app, Carabao Cup winners, record fuel prices, animal winter prediction, European volcano, stamp price increase, Harry Potter book sale, record painting sold, Oscars slap, Foo drummer passes, McDonalds in short supply, Hollywood Star DJ,Twitter buyout offer, Wrestlemania double champ, Champion of the Earth, As It Was reigns, snooker champ, Eurovision victors, videogame finale, character regenerates, superhero magician, Premier League champs, record streaming series, Running up That Hill returns to the charts, strikes continue, Tesco falls out with supplier, our leader resigns, Wimbledon winner, hottest ever UK day, Ben Affleck gets married again, 1,400th number one, folding phone on sale, womens Euro 2022, a new Prime Minister, the Queen passes, Prince Charles ascends, record summer weather, queue jumpers, videogame hacked, more strikes, NASA targets Dimorphos, Elon splashes out, F1 champion, another new Prime Minister, World Cup begins, Marvel again at the top, footballer falls out with United, Earth population milestone, giant fish caught, lockdown protests, Christmas food shortage, I’m a Celbrity winner and World Cup winner! How much can YOU remember?

The questions are pupil-accessible being a range of news based events, celebrity, music and movies covering a wide range of topics to make it so there’s something for everyone.

Split into 4 rounds of three months each. Good for filling an hour in the last week of term and a good informal one to do with your form if you have an hour to fill with something that’s not just a ‘watch a video’ and you actually want to spend some time with your class! I tend to pad it out into an hour and a half with discussions, sweets, prizes and rewards between and during rounds.

Answer sheet for students to fill in on final slide.

Lasts around 60 minutes with a form, I usually split them into groups and give rewards etc.

Have a good Christmas break and see you in January 2022!

PS, if anything exciting happens I will alter the last couple of December questions and reupload before the end of term, would be free to re-download in that event!
