Aims and Objectives:

• To learn about the context of the British sector of the Western Front and the theatre of war in Flanders and northern France.

The Power Point leads students through all activities with accompanying worksheets and resources. It also provides feedback/answers/advice at intervals which is rather useful when covering so much detailed content. Activities include a starter on source usefulness and enquiry areas, background event ordering, analysing diagrams of trench structure and photographs/written source illustrating problems with transport and communication.
