The causes of the peasants revolt - role play

This lesson was prepared for my Yr. 7 History class.\n\nThey had a few teachers before me and found it difficult to comprehend the chronology of the events. During the first part of the lesson, the students created a timeline and we discussed how the events unfolded.\nThe second half of the lessons, the students explored the different reasons for the revolt and then devised a script and carried out an re-enactment of why Richard II increased tax and why the peasants were unhappy through the style of BBC news.
