Whole Class Reading planning and resources based on Drew Daywalt’s ‘The Day The Crayons Quit’.
This series of 12 lessons is aimed at Year 2 pupils, although may be appropriate for Year 3. Every lesson has retrieval skills tasks as well as a focus on either inference or questions based around vocab/definitions. Worked perfectly for our first few weeks of Whole Class Reading sessions in Year 2 as we moved away from phonics.
