Children listen to the story or just read his physical description. Children describe what he looks like using powerful adjectives and similes. Mind maps help develop ideas. Children can move on to describing his personality as an extension, that he is gullible/stupid for being tricked by the mouse. Children can describe their own monster if they finish early. Worksheets and word banks are provided. A fun plenary asks the children to rate different adjectives.
