A scheme of learning stemming from The Lion King and using it as a starting point for dramatic movement work/dance.

Included is a PowerPoint for 6 lessons and an overview of the entire scheme of learning broken down lesson by lesson.

The scheme explores:
Animal Characteristics
Application of animal characteristics to human characters in a human situation.
Looking at group movement - flocking, mirroring
Looking at two different dance styles - Contemporary and Capoeira
Applying these styles to animals eg. Contemporary = Birds Capoeira = Monkeys
Creating a movement piece in one of these styles and performing.
