The Runaway Train - Problem

Here is a PowerPoint presentation that introduces student the runaway train thought experiment. There is also a lesson outline attached. Students will be introduced to ethics as well as duty based ethics and Consequentialism. There are a variety of opportunities for students to discuss aspects of the experiment and create their own based on the themes of the lesson. Suitable for year 8/9/ transition year and students aged 13 or older. This is the first lesson in a series of 10 that looks at various ethical issues.
