A PowerPoint presentation that talks through the poem The Solider by Rupert Brooke. Included in the PowerPoint is:
-Analysis of Language
-Context
-Meaning of the title
-Structure
-Attitudes themes and ideas
-Rhyming scheme
-Poetic Techniques
One link to a video clip is included in the PowerPoint, it leads to a reading of the poem by a vicar in WW1 to his congregation and then shifts into Brooke reading it while dying on a boat. I included this as i think when doing revision f poetry its important to let students have a small break and just listen to the words.
