First planned and taught: Oct 2018
This is taught at the end of a unit on China in Year 9 and my students love it.
I originally planned it as an observed OFSTED lesson, so this is worth a look if you have an observation coming up.
The lesson examines the claims of 5 countries on the South China Sea.
There’s differentiation throughout, but really the best part of the lesson is the game. You might want to teach over 2 lessons, as I’ve found that 1 hour isn’t quite enough time.
My lessons are planned and taught using Smart Notebook, but a PDF is also included and you can easily use that if you don’t have Smart Notebook.
If you and your students enjoy it please leave some positive feedback.
