Trigonometry and Pythagoras’ Challenges

A set of cards/IWB presentation that may be used for timed questions for a whole class or as a group activity. It comprises of a mixture of Pythagoras’ theorem and trigonometry in multi-step problems. These problems have deliberately been created with either integer or simple surd solutions so that the calculation does not overshadow the process. Further problems may be created by the students themselves. The mini sets of ‘triangle-towers’ are a simpler version of a pile-up of triangles that I found when searching for activities.
