Understanding sexual consent and the law RSE PSHE KS4
This resource lasts 30 - 45 minutes depending on the extent of discussion. It’s an RSE topic so teachers should familiarise themselves with the content in advance. There are ‘rules’ for students to encourage a mature approach.
In this lesson, students will learn:
What is meant by consent and then sexual consent; the laws around consent; how to give consent clearly and recognise when someone hasn’t; where to go for support.
There’s no writing requirement but you could change some discussion into writing activities if preferred.
