I have made a set of unofficial exam papers for the Research Methods section of the exam. This is the 2nd set.

The stimulus for this paper is an experiment testing the difference in the type of cola participants were required to drink and the number of hours sleep they had.

The exam paper tests:

  • Hypothesis Direction
  • Hypothesis Writing
  • Control Measures
  • Identification and control of Extraneous Variables
  • Interpretation of Descriptive Statistics
  • Calculation of percentage decrease
  • Testing for Significance using Critical Values Tables
  • Identification of ethical issues
  • Addressing Ethical issues
  • Type 1 Error
  • Writing a Debrief
  • The Purpose & Content of an Abstract
  • Design a Study (12 marks) (Correlational study)

The mark scheme is comprehensive and should allow for peer marking.

I usually use narrow margins, so if the formatting is out, try changing the margins to narrow.
