Verb Noun Adverb Adjective English Literacy Sentence Games Fun

This is something I made to help my class understand how different words (nouns, adjectives, verbs and adverbs) can change and improve sentences. I also used it to reinforce the names of the different types of words that go into sentences. Additionally, I found that it was a good way to give the children new words in a new and interesting way.

In the document I have included word mats, card templates and board mats for each of the word groups. I have also included some ideas and instructions for adults so the games can be learned and adapted for the class. The groups of words are colour coded to assist good understanding. The games can be differentiated by reductive the number of cards given to the learner and the size of the word board can be cut down are required.
I would welcome any other game ideas.
