This is a script used with a Year 3 class of ESL children, which could be adapted to suit a Year 4 class or a younger Key Stage 1 class.
The script is based on a Viking take of the X-Factor, where Odin is the judge who is looking for the ‘best Viking in the world’. ‘Contestants’ include shield makers, Viking comedians and Viking warriors. Script also includes a poem and a song (youtube).
Speaking roles for 13 children, non-speakers could be added.
Optional props include cardboard shields, cardboard helmets and a cardboard longboat.
