War and Peace Homework

A wide range of homework options for the topic of War and Peace The activities are broken down into 4 key areas - creativity, exploration, written skills and mathematical skills. For this topic we had a particular focus on the Vikings and WW2.

We would give the pupils a full term/ half term dependant on the length of the topic and then host a homework showcase. Parents would come in and celebrate the successes of the showcase and the children would take turns to present what they chose to do. There is a range of activities so even the pupils with disengaged families have the opportunity to succeed. The showcase has been hugely successful at raising pupil engagement and establishing links between school and families.
