Use monopoly money to explain the differences between communism, capitalism and socialism.

Game One: everyone in the class gets radically different amounts of Monopoly money and they are asked to play rock, paper, scissors. If they run out of money, they can no longer pay.

Game Two: The Monopoly money is distributed more evenly. If they run out of money during the game, they can receive up to Two extra notes.

Game three: All money is taken away from the class. They are told to play, but can't because they have no money.

It looks really good. I just needed some clearer explanations about how the game is played and how this exemplifies the 3 ideologies. Thank you for sharing.

Fantastic resource! I've tried to teach this topic in a couple of different ways before but using this lesson was the first time I felt my classes really understood what I was trying to say. Pupils really engaged with it and loved the rock/paper/scissors element. Thanks!
