What is Sin?

Insight, the Kingston Churches Schools Work explain the idea of sin from a Christian perspective in 4 minutes. This video would be a useful part of a discussion on sin in a lesson on Sin and Salvation for KS3/4. We will look at the meaning of the word today and compare the natural human condition of sin with the individual things people might do that break God’s law. These are the roots and the fruits of sin if you like. (See the video on Original Sin for the story of how sin entered the world.) In Christianity, sin is a condition that affects all people and leaves us separated from God. Therefore, sin is the biggest problem in the Bible - one that is ultimately only solved by the death of Jesus Christ on the cross.
