This fun and interactive lesson is designed to help students understand the causes and consequences of the murder of Thomas Becket in 1170. The lesson begins by setting the scene for Becket’s friendship with Henry II and why he was a trusted advisor, before moving onto the reasons why they argued and the short and long term consequences of the murder in the cathedral.
