A lesson based on assessing why William the Conquerer won the Battle of Hastings and the throne of England.
This includes a quick starter quiz, summarising the key points in the lead up to the Battle of Hastings, a card sort of key reasons why William won, a video to remind pupils of the events at Hastings, and a markscheme and writing frame for an assessment using the card sort.
Can be used as an end of topic assessment for Year 7/8.
Also includes SEN versions of the prep and the plan for weaker classes.
