Why is Mawlid considered permissible and rewardable?

A 27-slide assembly/conference on the permissibility of performing Mawlid ( celebration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad). Maybe more suitable for an Islamic school, as the information is quite detailed, although any group interested in advanced Islamic studies would enjoy this information. It contains the definition of Mawlid, why renowned Islamic scholars endorsed it and said it was fine to perform, on what basis do some people oppose its celebration and how scholars replied to these issues
