Each of the 24 “word-building” lessons in this book features eight words, a word-search letter grid, and four questions that encourage students to use research books to find the answers.
Exercise themes range from “Citrus Fruit” and “Sounds” to “Things with Wheels” and “Animals with Horns.” Students are challenged to find and circle the given words in the letter grid and then answer research questions.
Example: “A rhinoceros likes to eat ____?”
This lesson unit is a solid way for a child to have fun and expand his/her vocabulary at the same time.
