Full lesson on Smart Notebook for the GCSE 9-1 course - covering a new type of exam question on applied inverse proportion.
I have used a table method to find the"total hours for the job" or for three part problems to find the rate ie. “what one person could do in one hour”.
Pupils really respond to using this very clear table method - good for Grade 5 Foundation classes as well as Higher too.
Lesson includes examples, mini whiteboard questions and then practice. Finishes with a GCSE Mock Set exam question and mark scheme.

This looks like a nice resource and leads a Year 9 lower ability group nicely through the stages- thank you.
This looks perfect, but I cant open it. What does it use? Any chance of getting it in PDF or PowerPoint?
A nice resource, thanks. I believe there is an error in the self assessment question about cleaninf rooms though. The answer says 2hours 8 minutes however I think it should be 60 minutes.
Absolutely amazing, thank you!
Brilliant lesson. Didn’t need to change a thing.
