Writing prompt margin slips:
Slips should be stuck into the page margin for pupils to use as a guide when answering exam style questions.
Slips follow the P.E.A.R.L model:
P-Point
E-Evidence
A-Analysis
R-Reflect
L-Link

I normally have a box of these in the classroom that pupils can collect as and when they feel they are needed. Pupils of all abilities have found these particularly helpful in helping them structure analytical responses and develop their writing.

All of my example responses follow the P.E.A.R.L structure as it enable pupils to explore texts in detail whilst meeting exam criteria. Examples of these responses can be found in my shop.
