This pack contains a brief lesson plan of five lessons, culminating in children creating their own story based on The Man on the Moon by Simon Bartram. This unit was made for a year two class. They were fully engaged in this and loved making their own stories. They made them into small books and we ‘published’ them and put them in the school library for other children to borrow. Due to the flexibility of story writing, this has potential to be a two week unit.

The resources (worksheets) included are:
Prediction, mind map, conversation planner, inference prompts, questions to ask Bob and a story planner.

It works best if you have a copy of the story so that the children have exposure to the text. Lesson two requires images from the text, however, due to copyright reasons, I am unable to include these. I will try to add a PDF link to them for a free download in my shop.
