This is a short resource designed for Year 2 students to help them understand the basic concept of fractions
I have an extended version of this resource available in my shop, which contains PDF versions of the following:
- A help sheet explaining how to find fractions of numbers and shapes split into part, including fractions with numerators involved (e.g. 2/3 of 12).
- An extended question sheet with a more questions on colouring in fractions of shapes, finding fractions of numbers and harder word problems.
- An answer sheet for teacher use or student consolidation.
