This is a fully comprehensive SOW for Y8 aimed at roughly a 6 week teaching period.
This novel was Carnegie shortlisted 2024 and deals with a range of issues from safe use of the internet, mental health awareness, home schooling, young carers to name a few!
Within this SOW are opportunities for a range of reading skills based tasks, as well as a variety of writing genres as well as some SP&L work for variety.
It was written with Y8 English lessons in mind, but would also be a good text to use with PSHE lessons too.
