Year 3 Addition and Subtraction - 3-digit + 3-digit Triple Lesson Bundle (carrying)

A triple lesson bundle focusing on being able to add 3-digit numbers using a written method with carrying involved.

Included is a single introductory lesson that includes:
A fully-resourced lesson aimed at the Year 3 objective based on being able to add a 3-digit number to a 3-digit number where some carrying is needed.

Included is a lesson PowerPoint that includes an arithmetic starter, key vocabulary, modelling and discussion as well as guided practice. This then moves on to an independent activity and challenge questions, with answers included for these.

This lesson is all based on using the written method based on children having previously become confident with the method from 3-digit + 1-digit and 3-digit + 2-digit having used Base 10 initially.

This is then followed by a double lesson that includes:
A fully-resourced double lesson aimed at the Year 3 objective based on being able to add a 3-digit number to a 3-digit number where some carrying is needed .
