**Unit Planning for Sandwich Making Topic in Design Technology - Year 3 **
The planning contains 10 lessons and covers the following lesson objectives:
- Assess what I know and what I would like to learn about sandwiches
- Know that food can be divided into different groups
- Understand that sandwiches can be part of a balanced diet
- Carry out a survey and use a database on the computer for recording results
- Understand the importance of food hygiene
- Plan a sandwich design
- Modify and evaluate their design
- Write a set of instructions for making a sandwich
In the final lesson the children will have their own tea party.
The unit planning has cross curricular links to Science, Maths, Literacy and ICT/Computing.

This planning resource has been really helpful for my Year 3 DT unit. However, it refers to other materials, notably a mind map, a planning sheet and the Notebook slides, that aren't actually included. That was a bit frustrating as I thought I was getting a package.
