This double lesson focuses on transitioning from Base 10 to using place value grids and being able to identify the value of different digits/ write words in digits or words.

A double lesson PowerPoint that includes an arithmetic starter for each lesson, key vocabulary, discussion and modelling as well as practice questions.
An independent activity that also includes answers. This can be used over the two lessons.
Challenge questions that require deeper thinking for those that finish the independent activity with answers included.
