- Problem-solving includes using materials to model authentic problems, sorting objects, using familiar counting sequences to solve unfamiliar problems and discussing the reasonableness of the answer.
- Reasoning includes explaining comparisons of quantities, creating patterns and explaining processes for indirect comparison of length.
