This is a 4 -5 lesson scheme of work which teaches students how to evaluate live theatre. This scheme includes a detailed powerpoint with activities and teacher notes, teacher examples, students examples and differentiated resources to go with the unit. I delivered this unit with great success to mixed ability year 7 students using the National Theatre Production of Treasure Island. Could be stretched over 6 lessons or reduced to 3 with higher ability. Would be fantastic as an addition to a practical unit on the play or could be adapted to suit other productions you want to evaluate with your students.
