This unit focuses on descriptive writing, inspired by the magical storytelling in Yokki and the Parno Gry. Students will develop their skills in crafting vivid imagery using sensory details and rich vocabulary. They will also refine their sentence structure by incorporating subordination (e.g., “although,” “because,” “if”) and coordination (e.g., “and,” “but,” “so”) to create complex and compound sentences.
In Week 2, lessons will include a detailed exploration of the characters and settings, guiding students to describe them vividly. An adaptive worksheet is included to support learners of all levels, ensuring that every student can successfully engage with the task and make progress in their writing.
