New AQA specification. Complete set of lessons which teach students about rivers. The set of lessons follows on from the coastal SOW, which can also be found on my TES account. The video for the lesson on the River Tees is available on YouTube.

The first lesson in a series which look at fossil fuels, renewable energy and global warming. This first lesson focuses on the fossil fuels and looks at evaluating them. I follow this up with a debate on which fuel is the most precious.

The first two lessons for AQA A specification looking at global tourism and the factors affecting it.

Assessment booklet created for the AQA spec so that students can track their progress over the course. Students start their GCSE’s in year 9 and do revision in year 10 which is why the booklet only covers year 9 and 10.

In order to support SEN and EAL students learning the formations I have created formation 5, where each formation is broken down into 5 steps. For the AQA A specification module tourism. This lessons looks at tourism in the Lake District (this needs a DVD) and then the ways in which the area manages tourism. An introduction lesson to earthquakes.

For the AQA A specification module on tourism. This lesson teaches students the stages of the Butler model and how to apply the case study of Blackpool to it.

Information race where students learn about global atmospheric circulation model. Before the information race they watch the video- link yo YouTube in the PowerPoint notes section.

A lesson focusing on the different ways that volcanic eruptions can be managed and predicted.

A clearly differentiated lesson on the 2012 drought in the UK. The lesson takes students through levelled mystery activity.

A year 7 lesson that looks at the Burgess model. There is also an DME exercise where students have to decide where the Griffins should live. This allows them to look at real life sections of the model.

A lesson which looks at the four types of plate boundaries.

A resource created for KS3 students to carry out a DME on where a wind farm should be built. This would last around 3 lessons ending in a debate. However the resources can be used to re organise the lesson in a number of different ways.

Students discover the problems of fossil fuels. I have taught this lesson in a variety of ways and still don't think I have taught it in an outstanding way yet, so I include all the resources that I have used.

A revision PowerPoint for the AQA GCSE course to support students with the urban challenges unit.

A lesson which looks at the advantages and disadvantages of the main 6 types of soft engineering methods. The table also has a differentiated version for those students who have literacy needs. This resource could also be adapted and used at GCSE.

This lesson is for year 7 and contains a full DME about where we should build a new housing estate in terms of greenfield vs. brownfield land.
