The first lesson in a series which look at fossil fuels, renewable energy and global warming. This first lesson focuses on the fossil fuels and looks at evaluating them. I follow this up with a debate on which fuel is the most precious.

Assessment booklet created for the AQA spec so that students can track their progress over the course. Students start their GCSE’s in year 9 and do revision in year 10 which is why the booklet only covers year 9 and 10.

In order to support SEN and EAL students learning the formations I have created formation 5, where each formation is broken down into 5 steps. For the AQA A specification module tourism. This lessons looks at tourism in the Lake District (this needs a DVD) and then the ways in which the area manages tourism. A year 7 lesson that looks at the Burgess model. There is also an DME exercise where students have to decide where the Griffins should live. This allows them to look at real life sections of the model.

A resource created for KS3 students to carry out a DME on where a wind farm should be built. This would last around 3 lessons ending in a debate. However the resources can be used to re organise the lesson in a number of different ways.

Students discover the problems of fossil fuels. I have taught this lesson in a variety of ways and still don't think I have taught it in an outstanding way yet, so I include all the resources that I have used.
