Year 9 mid half term assessment focusing on how how the Human Development Index could be made more accurate by adding one more development indicator. This is a skills based module focused around the AQA A specification at GCSE, as my students start their GCSE subjects in year 9.

Lots of interesting activities relating to map symbols. One of the worksheets is particularly good for higher ability students as they have to use grid references also. Students love the mystery activity in my experience.

i created this mini SOW on Afghanistan for my year 8's. The whole topic is based around research techniques where students use the school library extensively as well as the internet to produce a final project to explain why the the country can be described as being in &'turmoil&';.

I made this for my year 9 class who are GCSE for the AQA A specification. It is the first two lessons for starting to look at development. As the students start the GCSE in year 9, I have made the topic more based around exam practise.
