This is a mathematics worksheet with worked answers for a yr 10 (stage 5) student studying linear relationships. There are 10 questions.
This worksheet covers the following NSW syllabus dot points for 2018:
5.1 Linear Relationships
Use the process for calculating the ‘mean’ to find the midpoint of the interval joining two points on the Cartesian plane.
Use the interval between two points on the Cartesian plane as the hypotenuse of a right angled triangle and use the relationship gradient = rise/run to find the gradient of the interval joining the two points.
Use the interval between two points on the Cartesian plane s the hypotenuse of a right angled triangle and apply Pythagoras’ Theorem to determine the length of the interval joining the two points.
An activity on negative integers. There are 3 activity pages with 8 questions each. Every activty page has an answer key.
The first activity page has eight addition and subtraction of negative integers questions to match (either cut and paste, drawing lines between each equation and its solution, or otherwise).
The second activity page has eight multiplcation of negative integers questions to match / cut and paste.

Get your students working together with a collaborative poster, especially at the end of a unit! This poster of a mushroom lady is coloured for autumn / fall and is coded with questions on negative integers.
The poster is 24 pieces (when printed on A4 paper, each piece is 14 cm x 14 cm). Each piece has a coordinate in the top left corner to help with assembly.
The colours for the poster have been assigned, except for the background, which is a free choice for students. There are five colours for autumn / fall (red, light brown, dark brown, orange and yellow), labelled 1-5. To work out which colour matches each number a question involving negative integers is presented, with answers matching 1-5. There are 6 sets of the 5 questions.
How it works:
Students will colour their assigned piece, cut it out, and then assemble their pieces with their classmates. Stick them together and display in the classroom.
The final poster measures approximately 56 cm x 84 cm.
