I've uploaded plenty of the resources I have created over the years and I'm constantly developing new ones as I go. The World Health Organisation recognises World Mental Health Day on 10 October every year as an opportunity to raise "awareness of mental health issues around the world and mobilising efforts in support of mental health.“ The theme for this year's World Mental Health Day, set by the World Federation for Mental Health, is psychological first aid and the support people can provide to those in distress.

World Food Day

(1)
A great assembly to introduce World Food Day, or to to discuss the issues around food shortages around the world. One of the biggest issues related to climate change is food security. The world’s poorest - many of whom are farmers, fishers and pastorals - are being hit hardest by higher temperatures and an increasing frequency in weather-related disasters. At the same time, the global population is growing steadily and is expected to reach 9.6 billion by 2050. To meet such a heavy demand, agriculture and food systems will need to adapt to the adverse effects of climate change and become more resilient, productive and sustainable. This is the only way that we can ensure the wellbeing of ecosystems and rural populations and reduce emissions.

The climate was much warmer than where they came from, they preferred it and wanted to settle here.

“What have you done at school today?” Using Technology to Communicate with Parents.

“What have you done at school today?” Using Technology to Communicate with Parents. How does your school communicate with stakeholders? How often do you do it? When is the best time to do it? All things we've considered at school and questions that we hoped we've answered, but we're always evolving and so are methods of communication. Whether it is a detailed newsletter each week or regular updates on Twitter and Facebook, letting your parents' know what is going on in schools is essential in our modern and busy world. As parents we tend to ask our children what they've done at school when they get home - the classic answer "I don't know, I can't remember." So how do we help parents get their children talking at home about their learning? Getting the children engaged in talking about something they've done in school can help them further understand a concept or to tackle any misconceptions that they've got around a certain subject. Parents want to know.

Free Applications Something free in education (well in life) is not to be sniffed at, but it’s not very often we get given something for free without a catch. Well, luckily technology throws up something every now and again, which is catch free. We’re going to look through a few applications that will have a big impact in your classroom and of course, won’t cost your school a penny.
