For lower ability groups I find these activities great for vocabulary recognition and for giving students a sense of achievement with tasks before moving them onto written expression tasks. I stuck this into the start of my Year 10s Spanish book this year. It's a simple list of the Themes & Topics they will study over the next two years. Some students have highlighted each topic as we complete it. I think it's important for students to have a reference point of what they are learning and will learn about. Claddagh Classrooms

The following booklet contains four translation activities based on the new Spanish GCSE AQA Spec Paper 4 (Higher Tier). These are ideal to use after you have completed a topic or for revision purposes. I have included two booklets. One with just the translation as you would sit in an exam and the second is includes a brief word word bank for each translation to aid students. Each booklet is in .doc format and is editable for your individual teaching needs. Claddagh Classrooms

I use this resource as a revision for my KS4 groups. It is a simple PowerPoint that states the rules of the Conditional Tense in Spanish. With the PowerPoint I have attached a booklet to aid with the lesson. The booklet contains the following: - 4 activities that students can complete in lesson or as homework / revision. (Fill in the gaps x 2, translate sentence and write a paragraph) - A notes sheet on the formation of the tense - A notes sheet on the most common irregular verbs. After a recent Ofsted inspection our department has come up with a 'Check in System' in for pupils to review how they like learning. This form has worked wonders for us and has allowed us to get to know our pupils, especially our PP pupils (Pupil Premium), SEN & MAP (More Able Pupils) much better.
