The first play script is a funny play based on the Will Ferrell movie - Elf. The script follows the story line of the movie with Buddy the Elf being a human who is raised as an elf in the North Pole. Buddy finds out the truth and goes looking for his family who are not too receptive about his appearance or general behavior! But Buddy turns them all around before finally saving Christmas with his festive cheer! There are song recommendations throughout the script, with a mixture of traditional Christmas songs and modern songs. There are 20-22 speaking parts, with additional non-speaking roles too. The play is around 40-50 minutes long.

He then slowly starts turning into Santa, which everybody else finds hard to believe! There are song recommendations throughout the script, with a mixture of traditional Christmas songs and modern songs. There are 20-22 speaking parts, with additional non-speaking roles too. The play is around 40-50 minutes long.

The story revolves around the town of Whoville, where all the Whos love Christmas. In fact they love Christmas so much it is all they talk about! However, a mysterious outcast lives to the North of the town; this outcast hates Christmas and anything to do with the festive time of year. The Grinch has a plan to ruin Christmas for the town, and steals all the presents on Christmas eve. He has a change of heart however when he hears the town enjoying Christmas even though he had stolen all of the presents. His heart grows and he quickly returns the gifts and takes part in all the festivities. There are song recommendations throughout the script, with a mixture of traditional Christmas songs and modern songs. There are 28 speaking parts, with additional non-speaking roles too for up to 30 students. The play is around 40-50 minutes long.

This is a Christmas biography writing unit about the life of the fictional character from Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, Ebenezer Scrooge. The activity is a perfect Christmas activity for students in Year 5 or Year 6. The unit has been split into four separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each.
The first lesson is interactive and involves them cutting out facts, and then sorting these facts into paragraphs. In the second lesson the children need to use these facts to write four paragraphs. In the third lesson children need to choose the most important facts and include these in an introduction; after this they need to answer several questions before writing up their conclusion. In the final lesson your class will need to check their draft paragraphs for mistakes before writing up their work into a neat copy on the template provided.
A crossword puzzle and wordsearch activity is also included in the unit.

Two resources perfect for students learning about Richard III by William Shakespeare; a play script written for young performers and a reading comprehension activity.
The play script has been rewritten to be suitable for ages 9 to 14. Richard III tells the story of Richard – a humpbacked member of the royal family who had a deep desire to be king. However, he was fifth in line to the throne with four close family members ahead of him. The play follows the story of his murderous journey to the top, and his eventual demise to Henry at the Battle of Bosworth.
The play script is a mix of modern English with some of the famous lines from the real play mixed in as well. There are 20 speaking roles, and extra characters for up to 25-30 people. Ideal for theater performances or plays, reading activities or guided reading sessions.
The second activity is an Informational text activity with comprehension and grammar questions about William Shakespeare’s popular play, Richard III. The close reading activity focuses on the main storyline of the play and it’s history, and concludes with comprehension and grammar questions. It also contains an extension activity for fast-finishing students. It is aimed at students between the ages of 9-13.
The activities require NO PREP and have a body of text that students need to read through thoroughly; then they can use the text to find the comprehension and grammar answers. All texts then have an extension activity for those fast finishers.

His father’s ghost visits him and tells him that the new King, Claudius – who has married his mother – was the killer. Hamlet wants revenge and the story follows a bloody path in which he takes revenge but loses his own life, and the life of the woman he loves – Ophelia.

Two resources perfect for students learning about Macbeth by William Shakespeare; a play script written for young performers and a reading comprehension activity.
The play script is a mix of modern English with some of the famous lines from the real play mixed in as well. There are 18 speaking roles, and extra characters for up to 25-30 people. Ideal for theater performances or plays, reading activities or guided reading sessions.
The reading comprehension passage includes a teacher presentation, comprehension and grammar questions, a multiple choice quiz, a crossword puzzle and a wordsearch about William Shakespeare’s famous play, Macbeth.
The NO PREP informational text worksheets are perfect for students in Year 5 or Year 6. Students will learn key facts about the famous play whilst working on their comprehension skills.

Macbeth tells the story of a fierce warrior who meets three strange witches on his way home after a battle. The witches tell him that he will be King. At first Macbeth thinks they are lying but then he starts to believe the prophecies. He sends a letter to his wife, Lady Macbeth, who persuades him to kill the King and claim the throne. He does this but the couple find the guilt too much, and then the previous King’s sons come back for revenge. The story ends in death for Macbeth, as Macduff and Malcolm come to claim back the throne!

A Midsummer Night’s Dream tells the story of four Athenian lovers who have a complicated yet dramatic love life. Lysander and Hermia loved each other and wished to be together. Helena loved Demetrius, but Demetrius loved Hermia, and Hermia’s father wanted him to marry his daughter.
Hermia and Lysander decided to run off together into the woods. But the woods were haunted by the Fairy King and Queen - Oberon and Titania, and the King’s mischievous henchman, Puck. The play tells the magical story of the eventual coming together of the four lovers, and Duke Theseus and his bride, Hippolyta.
