This Medicine Through Time lesson investigates factors outside medicine that helped the Ancient Egyptians make progress including the River Nile, writing, trade, religion and money. It encourages students to compare with prehistoric Britain at the same time.
Although this lesson was made for GCSE students, it can easily be adapted for KS2 or KS3.
This download includes a fully editable powerpoint with all activities, instructions, clip links and worksheets/information sheets you need. It is differentiated 2/3 ways where possible with scaffolding and challenge options and is fully planned with plenty of activities for your students to complete including a starter, all clips and related tasks, starter thinking comparison table, groupwork talking information sheets with a table to complete, mini-plenaries, a consolidation explain written question and a plenary.
Activities are planned to encourage thinking and discussion.
