An engaging presentation which is ideal for Year 6 revision of properties of number. Animated slides include activities where children practice their knowledge and reasoning about numbers, including: Factors, Multiples, Prime, Common Factors, Composite, Square, Cubed and Triangular numbers. Odd and even numbers are also referred to when solving a Carroll Diagram problem at the end of the lesson. It includes several examples of his work and discusses his techniques and colour palette. This engaging presentation is packed with information and interesting facts about the moon. It dispels some moon myths and gives an explanation of the phases of the moon. The final slide of the presentation contains a quick quiz which gives children the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding. The presentation may be used with the whole class as an introduction to the moon or made accessible to children for their own research. This presentation could also be used as an example of a non-chronological report during an English/Science lesson.

This powerpoint revises the rules for changing direct speech to reported speech and vice versa. The focus is on what changes i.e. inverted commas, pronouns and verb tenses. This is ideal for introducing the names of different verb tenses to Years 5 and 6 and gives the opportunity for pupils to practice changing speech from direct to reported as well as identifying the verb tenses. Some of the example sentences are based on the book 'Street Child' and the resource was created as part of a unit writing a newspaper report. However - it can be used as a stand alone lesson.
