This resource is a 21 page PDF document with activities to do based on the book A is for Australia by Frane Lessac. This document contains 20 worksheets for students.
The activities allow the students to reflect on the story and extend their understanding of the themes within this text.
There is one activity for each alphabetical page mentioned in the book, with the exception of the letters E, F, H, I, O, V, X and Y which share a page.
The activities are mostly writing activities. There are some pages which have comprehension questions. There are also a sorting activity for the ‘A’ page. There are research activities about Eddie Koiki Mabo, the Tasmanian tiger, the Snowy Mountains Hydro-Electric Scheme and camels in Australia. There is also a worksheet which requires students to visit the Taronga Zoo website for the ‘Z’ worksheet.
This book is an excellent resource to use when teaching students about Australian natural and built landmarks.

There is one activity for each alphabetical page mentioned in the book, with the exception of I & J (Irukandji and Jellyfish) which share an activity and also the letters K, Q, V, X, Y and Z which also share a page.

Landmarks of the United States Bingo Game - Up to 32 Players - Natural / Built
This resource is a 39 page PDF document which contains a Landmarks of the United States Bingo Game Set.
There are 32 game boards, each one different so that up to 32 students can play at once. You could even have 33 students playing if one student was to take on the role of the Bingo Caller. Each bingo card features 25 squares with various natural and built landmarks of the United States.
The game also includes clue cards for the 44 different landmarks featured in the set, a recording sheet for the Caller and instructions for how to play the game.
This game is an excellent resource to use to teach students about the landmarks in the United States.

Australian Landmarks Research Activity Sheets - Natural and Built
This resource is a 22 page PDF document with a research activity on twelve landmarks of Australia.

The teacher just has to print off the sheets and give one to each student / group in the class. Each sheet asks for similar information so all students are doing a similar research activity. Students can then research the particular landmark they were given and record their information on their worksheet. The sheets look great displayed in the classroom when finished.
Each worksheet is provided in a black and white version and also a colour version.
