This resource contains five quick fire activities that will develop children’s understanding of place value. A pdf and word version is included so you can edit the numbers to suit your class’s ability.
The resource contains a double-sided A3 place value grid to support children who need to physically represent numbers (concrete) or practice their pictorial skills before moving on to mental abstract concepts.
Quick fire activity sheet with five activities:
1. Insert inequality symbols
2. Arrange in ascending order.
3. Arrange in descending order.
4. Explain how numbers are similar and/or different.
5. State the next two terms in a sequence.

A Roman Numerals activity sheet for More Able/High ability children.
They are required to turn the Roman Numeral Calculation into an 'Arabic numbers' calculation, then work out the answer and express it back in Roman Numerals.
This really gets a buzz going.

This is a 4-way differentiated worksheet/activity sheet that tests children's understanding of how to add a mixed number to a proper fraction, which is tested at the end of Year Six and onwards in SATs assessments (arithmetic/reasoning) and in other end of year assessments.
There are four challenges:
-Add a mixed number to a proper fraction (same denominators).
-Add a mixed number to a proper fraction (different denominators).
-Add two mixed numbers to a proper fraction (same denominators)
-Add two mixed numbers to a proper fraction (different denominators)
At each stage, children will be expected to give their answer in its simplest form, as is standard practice in the assessed tests.
I have also included an answer sheet.
Two differentiated sheets for KS2 children whose aim is to calculate the area of triangles.
Activity Sheet 1 - Triangles with whole number length sides, easier lengths.
Activity Sheet 2 - Triangles with challenging length sides, including decimals. Short/Long multiplication skills will be required.
Answer Sheet - Answers for both activities.

A two-way differentiated activity sheet/worksheet for children to develop their understanding of pie charts.
Sheet 1 - 10 Questions focusing on football fans with four segments.
Sheet 2 - 8 Questions focusing on comparing two pie charts side by side. One with a sample of 100 people and one with a sample of 120 people.
Answer sheets are included for both activities. I have provided two different layouts which also add to the challenge. One has a wider line graph set, the other has a narrower set. This will test children’s adaptability to varying presentations.
This resource contains an editable A3-sized Place Value grid that is colourful and large enough to put counters on for a fun, practical (concrete) Maths activity. I currently have 30 of these laminated for use.
One side has the place value columns written in words and the other as numerals.

This resource specifically targets the skill of converting a fraction into a decimal and a percentage.
Children will be required to convert a fraction into a decimal using short division on the grid provided.
They will then convert that decimal into a percentage using the grid provided.
For struggling learners there is an A3 place value grid included to assist with multiplying by 100.
