Check out this awesome engaging task card to build vocabulary. Based on the Frayer Model, students will answer six questions about a vocabulary word based on the roll of their die. Implementation is flexible based on teacher preference, but the goal is that students respond to the six prompts which include things like define the word, find a synonym, antonym, draw and picture and more. This fun and exciting activity will keep kids learning and on task with ease!

This simple but effective lab allows students to observer and draw inferences about diffusion. Students will need three cups set up that are each of the following temperatures (warm, cold, and room temperature). They will need to put one drop of food coloring in each at the same time as well as start a timer once they do so. In one minute increments, the students will record what they see for three minutes total. Students will then reflect on the diffusion of the food coloring being compared in each of the three temperatures. The temperature component can be connect to dissolving easily and the recording change over time is also important. Materials needed: clear cups (3 per group), some way to both lower and raise temperature of the water prior to experimentation, food coloring, and a timer.

This assessment of culture includes 20 questions that students respond with a smiling emojiy, straight faced emoji or a frowning emoji based on how much they agree or disagree with the statements. There are then seven short answer questions. These 27 questions will allow the teacher to understand what the students are feeling and how they erceive themselves in the grand scheme of the classroom as well as their relationship with the teacher. It can be implemented as regularly as possible in order to reflect and adapt based on student responses.

This tracking form reflects the traditional color system behavior system. It mimics the stoplight system of Red, Yellow, and Green do signify obvious behavior representations. Students will color in their color each day and then check the box that reflects the reason for their behavior. Students will either check they had a great day or can check one of the pre-listed options of components such as needs to work on staying focused, showing respect, etc. There is a signature line at the bottom of each day (already set up for the week) in which parents can be accountable for daily behaviors. This serves as excellent documentation and tracking for interventions and response to misbehaviors as well as rewards for positive behaviors (PBIS).

In addition to or in replacement of negative referrals to the office, this form allows for students to receive extra positive attention when caught doing great things. Just like the normal form, this alternative praises students based on their behavior or characteristics such as flexibility, accountability, optimism, respect, grit, perseverance and more. It is set up to have the student's name, the date, teacher, location, details and more. It also includes additional details and signature lines for the teacher, parents, and administrators.
