This is a set of 4 probes (and two maintenance probes) for precision teaching interventions aiming at building mastery of squaring numbers
There are multiple versions depending on the aim rate you wish to set. The probes can be used in a see and say, read and say, read and write way. There is also a tracking grid which can be used for this or other precision teaching interventions.

We think it’s important to try to build students confidence with assessments, so for our half termly assessments we aim to have zero surprises. The questions will all look very familiar to the skills they have covered.
We design our end of half term assessments on what skills the students have covered that half term, rather than having an assessment before hand and working towards it. The lesson before they complete the revision sheet, which you will see is very similar to the assessment.
This assessment covers grade two skills including calculations, significant figures, HCF, LCM, prime factor decomposition, estimation.
